Este informe analiza la importancia de incorporar a las mujeres altamente cualificadas en la fuerza laboral de las principales potencias de América Latina (Brasil, México, Argentina, Chile y Colombia). A pesar del crecimiento de América Latina, la participación laboral femenina en la región continúa siendo baja. La gran mayoría (64% o más) de las mujeres en las principales potencias de la región desean tener un empleo remunerado. Sin embargo, sólo la mitad o menos de las mujeres en estos países participa en la fuerza laboral. En el informe, discutimos los posibles beneficios económicos resultantes de la incorporación de las mujeres en la fuerza laboral (que varían desde $16 mil millones hasta $391 mil millones, dependiendo del país y los niveles de participación laboral alcanzados) así como algunos de los obstáculos que mantienen a las mujeres de América Latina fuera del trabajo remunerado.
