Regional Partnerships
Cross-sectoral collaboration is key to build bottom-up innovation economic results between businesses, communities, and federal, state, and local governments. The 10,000 Communities works with partners to create regional strategies and events to effectively link together investors, technical assistance experts, and community leaders to build local and national resilience and long-term competitiveness. In the year since it launched, the 10,000 Communities initiative has held a series of regional training events with business, government, philanthropic, and community leaders and capital providers across the United States in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit, Sacramento, and in the Northwest.
Northwest Region: Outcomes Report
In November 2023, the Northwest Rural Investment Strategy Summit, held in Skamania, WA, convened over 170 attendees across the Pacific Northwest. Following the summit, a follow-up event in Kennewick, Washington, attracted another 130 attendees. Read the after-action report to find out more.
Resilient Michigan Investment Strategy Summit
We recently held the Resilient Michigan Investment Strategy Summit in Detroit. The event featured breakout sessions designed to help more communities and businesses create public-private partnerships. This included a series of conversations to drive long-term resilience and economic growth in the region. Michigan Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II and US Department of Commerce Deputy Secretary Don Graves were among the featured speakers.
