Gary Chropuvka

President, WorldQuant

Gary Chropuvka is president of WorldQuant, contributing to the leadership of investing activities, global business strategy, and day-to-day business operations. Prior to joining WorldQuant in October 2020, Gary spent more than 20 years at Goldman Sachs and was a partner at the firm. Most recently, he was co-head of the Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) team within Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). Previously, Gary oversaw the QIS team’s customized beta, tax-efficient and alternative risk premia businesses. He was also formerly a senior portfolio manager in the QIS Equity Alpha business. Gary began his career on Wall Street in 1993 in Morgan Stanley’s Correspondent Clearing Group after earning a BA in mathematics from Rutgers University. He also has a master’s in financial engineering from Columbia University and is a CFA charter holder. Gary serves on the investment committees for both Rutgers University’s Board of Trustees and the Rutgers University Foundation’s Board of Overseers. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Monmouth Medical Center Foundation.
