Belinda Chng is director for policy and programs at the Asia Center. Headquartered in Singapore, the Asia Center extends Milken Institute activities and programs to the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining the Institute, Chng spent five years with the Rajaratnam School of International Studies at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore As a key member of the research team, she was responsible for scoping projects and workshops that examined the intersections of food security, regional economic integration, and health and environmental change and its implications for Asia. Chng is co-author for many analytical articles and reports, including papers commissioned by the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia, JICA Research Institute, and the National Security Coordination Secretariat of Singapore. Before joining the university, Chng was policy advisor to the Policy Support Unit, a research arm of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, where her work centered on communications and outreach, project conceptualization, and strategic planning. Chng holds a BA from the Australian National University and an MS from the Nanyang Technological University.
