An American national, Bethe develops strategy and manages its execution for IFC MAS Advisory Services with IFC agribusiness clients across Asia. Much of his unit’s work is developing linkages between large corporates and small farmers and rural enterprises, as suppliers or customers. Prior to IFC, Bethe worked with U.S.-based Cargill and Land O'Lakes, co-founded a food safety testing company, and worked on agriculture and agriculture finance development projects in the U.S.A., Asia, Africa and the former Soviet Union. Bethe has an M.S. in corporate finance and an undergraduate degree in financial management and English and American literature and language.
