Manraj Sekhon

Chief Investment Officer, Emerging Markets Equity, Franklin Templeton Investments

Manraj Sekhon is responsible for the regional business of Franklin Templeton and also oversees some 80 investment professionals globally covering the full suite of Asia and Emerging Markets equity strategies offered by the group, including global, regional, single-country, small cap, frontier and private equity strategies. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton in 2018, he served as the Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer of Fullerton Fund Management. He has over 25 years of global investment experience. He began his career at Mercury Asset Management in London and also worked at Invesco Asset Management and Henderson Global Investors. Manraj previously won the ‘Best Fund Manager’ award from Professional Adviser, a leading industry journal. He was also ranked in both the Citywire Top 100 Fund Managers and the Professional Adviser Hot 100 Fund Managers. He graduated from the University of Warwick with a BSc (Hon) in Management Sciences and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Manraj sits as an Advisory Board member to the UK Department for International Trade for its Global Entrepreneur Programme, an Advisory Council member of the CFA Society Singapore and an Advisor to the Investment Committee of the Singapore Management University (SMU). He is also a Board Director of the Singapore Repertory Theatre and a member of the Young Presidents Organisation (YPO).
