Nanette Medved-Po is the founder and executive chairperson of the HOPE and PCX Groups. HOPE (GenerationHOPE Inc. & Friends of HOPE, Inc.) invests 100% of profits in public school education infrastructure, agriculture interventions for smallholder farmers, and environmental initiatives in plastic waste and carbon sequestration. HOPE was certified as the Philippines' first B Corporation for meeting the highest standards of social and environmental transparency and accountability. It has consistently won Best for the World each year since its certification. Plastic Credit Exchange (PCX) was founded in the Philippines, one of the epicenters of the plastic pollution crisis. PCX was first in the world to establish a Plastic Pollution Reduction Standard and create a fully traceable offset platform, serving a global ecosystem of partners that recover, process, or recycle plastic waste through programs that improve livelihood, scale social impact, and reduce flow of plastic pollution into nature. Nanette serves on the Boards of WWF Philippines, The Hunger Project, and Winrock International. She received Asia Society's 2022 Gamechanger Award, NGO Leadership Award, and Social Innovation Leadership Award from the Philippines Leadership Awards. She is also honored as one of Forbes' Heroes of Philanthropy.
