Anchor and Chief International Correspondent for South East Asia, Bloomberg

Haslinda Amin is Bloomberg Television’s Chief International Correspondent for South East Asia, and anchor of the daily Markets Asia show. She is the host and editorial inspiration behind ‘Latitude with Haslinda Amin’, a newly launched half hour current affairs strand featuring Asia’s gamechangers – the people who are shaping the future of business, politics, art, culture and sport, as the world’s axis moves increasingly Eastwards. For more than 20 years, Amin has driven coverage of Asia’s transformation – making sense of market-moving news, dynamic political change and breaking stories that have shaped a continent. She has led eye-witness reporting on major events like the Financial Crisis; seismic elections including those in India and Indonesia; and the rise and fall of countless big names in Business and Finance. Amin also fronts Bloomberg’s in-depth coverage from the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Bloomberg’s New Economy forum, Qatar Economic Forum, APEC meetings and the UN General Assembly. Global leaders speak to Haslinda Amin – among her long list of interviewees she counts US President, Joe Biden; Philippine President, Ferdinand Marcos Jr; Malaysian Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim; and former Thai Prime Minister, Srettha Thavisin. She has also sat down with ECB President, Christine Lagarde; US Special Envoy for Climate, John Kerry; and IMF Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva.
