Kanika Singh

Director, Innovative Finance, Milken Institute Finance

Kanika Singh is director of innovative finance at the Milken Institute. She is responsible for executing the Institute's signature research projects, the Financial Innovations Labs, with a specific focus on the market failures and financing gaps in climate solutions. 
Prior to joining the Milken Institute, Singh worked in New York’s hedge fund industry, where she led macro-economic investments in emerging markets by employing a cross-sectoral and global strategy to identify investment opportunities for chief investment officers. She also served as the lead economist at international financial institutions in London and Singapore, collaborating with clients that included investment banks, central banks, and sovereign wealth funds. Singh has a proven track record in rigorous macroeconomic analysis, investing in developing countries, and portfolio management in global financial markets. Additionally, she built and maintained relationships in C-suite, nongovernmental organizations, and policy circles. 
She holds a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a Master of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics.
