Kevin Patric is a senior vice president and member of the board of directors of D. E. Shaw & Co. (Asia Pacific) Limited and General Manager for the D. E. Shaw group’s operations in the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Patric is also a member of the boards of directors of D. E. Shaw Investment Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and D. E. Shaw & Co. (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. He joined the D. E. Shaw group in 2003 as a member of the firm’s Treasury department. In 2006, Mr. Patric joined the firm’s New York trading desk, where he initially traded U.S. equities before shifting to Asia-Pacific equities in 2007. He has operated from the firm’s Hong Kong office since 2008 and was the head equity trader on the Hong Kong trading desk prior to assuming his current role. Mr. Patric graduated from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in economics. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and the Chartered Market Technician® designation and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
