Manny Jacinto stars as the fan-favorite Sith Lord in the Star Wars series “The Acolyte,” which takes place a century before the events of “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace,” that premiered on Disney+ on June 4th. He just wrapped production on “Freakier Friday,” opposite Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, which will be released in 2025 and voices one of the leads in the animated Disney+ series “Hailey’s On It!”. Previously, Jacinto had back-to-back scene stealing roles in the Amazon romantic comedy “I Want You Back” and in the Hulu mini-series “Nine Perfect Strangers” alongside a star-studded cast that included Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy, and Michael Shannon. Jacinto is perhaps best known for his breakout performance in the NBC Peabody Award-winning and Emmy-nominated critically-acclaimed comedy series “The Good Place.” For his inspired work as 'Jason Mendoza', he was hailed by Vanity Fair as "the brightest comedic spot in a cast jam-packed with hilarious talent”. His performance also landed him on ‘best of’ lists from Variety, ET, Buzzfeed, Vulture, Indiewire and Uproxx, among others, and led to him being named the “[final] season’s MVP” by the New York Times. His other credits include the Netflix horror-thriller series “Brand New Cherry Flavor,” the ABC drama “The Good Doctor” and voicing the Warner Bros. animated film “Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind,” and the English language voice cast for the critically acclaimed Japanese film “Belle.”
