Dr. Mohsin Pirzada is the Head of Funds at Qatar Investment Authority and leads the external manager and co-investment program encompassing all major public and private assets classes. He is an active member of MFA and IIF leveraging over 20 years of cross asset class investment experience, and plays a pivotal role in QIA’s initiatives to further develop the local Qatar capital markets and asset management industry. Dr Mohsin Pirzada is an advocate for sustainable investing to help address challenges posed by climate change. Prior to joining Qatar Investment Authority, Dr Pirzada was a structured credit trader at Solent Capital and helped lead the pioneering issuance of the first European CDO2 transaction “Spinnaker”. He holds a PhD in Nuclear Material Physics from Imperial College London and has collaborated with both the Los Alamos National Laboratories and the UK Ministry of Defence to publish a number of scientific papers on nuclear energy containment and renewable energy sources.
