Penny Burtt is the president for Boeing Southeast Asia. Effective July 3, 2024, she is responsible for strengthening Boeing’s operations, strategy and presence across Southeast Asia as well as supporting the company’s growth opportunities across the region. Burtt reports to Dr. Brendan Nelson AO, president of Boeing Global. Burtt brings to the role more than 25 years of experience in diplomacy, trade, international business, and consulting across four continents. She has a deep understanding of the region, having served as a senior Australian diplomat across Southeast Asia and as former Group CEO of Asialink, Australia's leading center for Asia engagement. Previously, Burtt held Asia leadership positions at Stripe, Visa, and McKinsey & Company. Burtt is a passionate advocate for diversity and development and has served as an Executive Board Member with key business associations and nonprofits in Singapore, Australia and the United States. She is a Board member of the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council and Harpswell, an organization which supports women's leadership initiatives in Southeast Asia. She is a former Board member of AmCham Singapore, the U.S. National Centre for APEC and the Singapore Institute for International Affairs. Burtt is a graduate of the University of Sydney with an honors degree in Economics and Political Science. She has a post graduate degree in Foreign Affairs and Trade from the Australian National University. Burtt completed her executive leadership program from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
