Richard Wike is director of the global attitudes research at Pew Research Center in Washington, DC, where he conducts research and writes about international public opinion on a variety of topics, such as democracy, globalization, international cooperation, and attitudes toward the United States and China. He also writes about U.S. public opinion on foreign policy and other issues. He is an author of numerous Pew Research Center reports and has written for The Atlantic, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, Financial Times, the Guardian, Politico, Journal of Democracy, Journal of Politics, Nikkei Asia, CNN, BBC, CNBC, and other publications. Wike has been interviewed by American news organizations such as The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, NBC, CNN, and NPR, as well as numerous non-U.S. news organizations, including The Financial Times, The Guardian, BBC, El País, Deutsche Welle, France 24, South China Morning Post, and Al Jazeera. Wike gives talks and presentations to a variety of audiences, including government, think tanks, business groups, and academic conferences.Prior to joining Pew Research, Wike was a Senior Associate for international and corporate clients at Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, where he conducted research and provided strategic advice to international political campaigns and corporations. Wike got his start in public opinion research as a Senior Research Analyst with Schapiro Research Group, an Atlanta-based polling firm. He received his PhD in Political Science from Emory University.
