Megan Kilgore

City Auditor, City of Columbus, Ohio

Megan Kilgore is the Auditor for the City of Columbus, Ohio, where she has led the city’s financial strategy since 2018, overseeing a $5 billion debt portfolio, $2.8 billion in investments, and $1.3 billion in annual revenue collection. Under her leadership, Columbus has maintained AAA/Aaa/AAA credit ratings—making it the largest city in the nation to do so. A nationally recognized leader in public finance, Megan received the 2023 Freda Johnson Award, as well as honors from The Bond Buyer and Women in Public Finance. Before taking office, she was a municipal advisor, providing advisory services to cities, counties, utilities, school districts, and economic development districts. Megan is an adjunct professor at the John Glenn College at The Ohio State University, where she teaches a graduate-level course in public finance.
