Michael Novogradac serves as the managing partner at Novogradac, specializing in real estate taxation and accounting. Through his role advising Novogradac’s working groups and participating on the executive committees of the Housing Advisory Group and Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition, as well as the boards of the National Housing Conference, the NMTC Coalition, and the Historic Tax Credit Coalition, he champions affordable housing, community development, historic preservation, and renewable energy tax incentives. As a leading authority on real estate tax incentives, he has testified before the U.S. House Committee on Ways and Means and the Senate Finance Committee, authored numerous articles and books, spoken frequently at tax incentive conferences and forums, and is often quoted in national media. Additionally, Mr. Novogradac hosts the weekly podcast “Tax Credit Tuesday.” He was inducted into the Affordable Housing Hall of Fame in 2016 and was named to Forbes' list of America’s Top 200 CPAs in 2024. Mr. Novogradac holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a certified public accountant licensed in California, Oregon, Maryland, and Texas.
