Tarek Shoukri

Tarek has over 15 years of strategy and investments experience. He is a strategy consultant and mergers & acquisitions value creation practitioner in our Global Private Equity, Real Assets and Sovereign Funds team based in New York. This represents all of PwC’s services to large global investors and their portfolio companies. Tarek’s work with private market investors, and sovereign wealth funds spans across the investment cycle, including pre-financing, sourcing strategies, commercial and operational due diligence, post-investment performance transformation and value realization, portfolio review, buyout/exit strategy, synergy strategy, and firm level strategy, governance, organization, and technology enablement. He leads the development and strategy of our global sovereign fund strategy, governance, setup, design, and operationalization capability, advising large GPs, sovereign and pension funds, and cabinet-level government officials. He is a senior investment management professional with experience building and leading alternative investment platforms at global sovereign funds, family offices, pension funds, and alternative asset managers. Tarek is an operations and strategic leader with experience across finance, IT, HR and all aspects of a global fund operation. He is particularly focused on corporate governance and transparency practices, influenced by the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds’ (IFSWF) Santiago Principles, and large scale transformations at global sovereign wealth and investment funds.
