Lauren Shweder Biel is Executive Director and co-founder of DC Greens, a nonprofit working to advance food justice and health equity in the nation's capital.  DC Greens runs a Produce Prescription Program that was awarded the highest honors by the Milan Global Food Security Pact in 2019.  Lauren sits on the Steering Committee of the National Produce Prescription Collaborative, is an Advisor to the Aspen Institute's Food is Medicine Research Group, and was co-chair of the Food is Medicine Accelerator with the Google Food Lab.
