Brian Carandang is an Associate Director with the Business and Program Development's Programmatic Fundraising Team at the Milken Institute. He oversees partnerships and engagement across the Milken Institute Health’s portfolio, which includes programmatic work related to biomedical innovation, public health, aging, and food. Additionally, he leads the Institute’s fundraising strategy for the annual Future of Health Summit and health-related convenings. Carandang also works with sponsors supporting the Milken Institute Global Conference. He began his career at Direct Relief where he was responsible for amplifying the organization’s work across socials and operationalizing the pharmaceuticals donations for outbound shipment to communities affected by poverty or disasters. Carandang has a dual master's degree as part of the Erasmus Mundus Global Studies Consortium, where he studied Global Studies at the University of Vienna in Austria and Roskilde University in Denmark. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
