Dr. Christa-Marie Singleton is the Chief Medical Officer, US Office of Personnel Management. The Chief Medical Officer serves as the OPM resident medical expert, with Healthcare and Insurance program responsibilities supporting OPM's strategic initiatives in the healthcare space, the health insurance industry, health policy, population health, benefits design, standards of care, quality measurement, and legislative and regulatory initiatives. She serves as a strategic content contributor of innovations in public and private sector health delivery, finance, and payment models which could reduce healthcare costs and improve healthcare quality and patient outcomes for the Federal Employee Health Benefit Programs’ 8.3 million federal employees, dependents, and retirees. Prior to coming to OPM, Dr. Singleton served as the Chief Medical Officer, Office of Health Equity at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she was the principal medical advisor/spokesperson on a wide range of healthcare/clinical-community topics. She is board-certified and an elected fellow in preventive medicine, and recently received the University of Louisville 2022 Alumni Fellow for the School of Medicine.
