Gunnar Esiason

Head of Patient Engagement, RA Ventures

Gunnar is a cystic fibrosis and rare disease patient leader. Professionally, he is an accomplished patient advocate who has led and managed patient advocacy campaigns across a score of health policy initiatives and clinical trial programs. His blog has amassed nearly 1 million page views since 2015. His podcast, the State of Health, is available on all streaming platforms. He is the head of patient engagement at RA Capital's venture group, RA Ventures, and previously worked at a leading clinical trial technology company. Gunnar holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, an MPH from the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice, and a BA from Boston College. He serves on the board of directors at the Boomer Esiason Foundation and No Patient Left Behind. His health policy opinions have been features in USA Today, STAT News, The Hill and the Wall Street Journal.
