Dr. Lu de Souza is a Vice President and Executive Medical Officer Oracle’s Learning Health Network, a division of Oracle Life Sciences. Working at the intersection of healthcare, research and technology, she leads a team responsible for supporting health organizations integrate clinical research into everyday care, helping address the current challenges of clinical discovery cost, time, and patient inequities. Lu is passionate about advancing clinical research through the use of Real World Data, empowering providers to bring research into everyday care, and the overall impact technology and innovations can have on healthcare quality and delivery. Dr. de Souza has 20+ years of experience in health informatics and was the most recent CMO of Cerner in North America. She practiced pediatric hospital and emergency medicine until 2020, and has hold multiple leadership and teaching positions throughout her career. Her education includes a Bachelor’s in molecular genetics from The Ohio State University, a Medical Degree from Wright State University, and board certification in both Pediatrics and Clinical Informatics.
