Paul Williams is an accomplished leader with deep experience in healthcare and pharmaceuticals. Throughout his career, Paul has driven change in how global public health threats, including infectious diseases and opioid overdose, are prevented and treated. In his role as senior vice president, head of products business, Paul leads Emergent’s product portfolio, which includes medical countermeasures for military and civilian populations, and commercialized products that address endemic public health threats such as the opioid epidemic. Recently, Paul led Emergent’s effort to bring NARCAN® Nasal Spray over the counter (OTC), making it the first FDA-approved, 4 mg OTC nasal naloxone product for the emergency treatment of opioid overdose. Paul brings over a decade of senior leadership experience to Emergent, leading strategy, commercial operations, and marketing for many global healthcare and life sciences companies.
