Graves founded the Ogilvy Center for Behavioral Science in 2017 after serving as Global CEO & Chair of Ogilvy Public Relations for more than a decade. Prior to joining Ogilvy, he served as chief of two TV news networks (CNBC Asia & CNBC Europe) and worked for 18 years at the Wall Street Journal. Graves developed a novel research approach to decoding the human Sensemaking Genome™ which has won 7 international awards. This method allows for a more profound decoding of people for more effective engagements and behavior change.His vaccine hesitancy & behavioral science work has supported the WHO, UNICEF, Save the Children, The Chicago Department of Public Health, Georgetown University and non-profits such as the Covid Tech Task Force and a coalition called NOCOVID of which he is a founding member. Graves was named to the Core Advisory team informing the creation of the NYC Pandemic Response Institute, and advised the Rockefeller Foundation’s Pandemic Preparedness institute, and served as Global Chair of the Governance and Partnerships work stream for the Milken Institute in publishing its “A Global Early Warning System for Pandemics.”Graves has published many articles in the Harvard Business Review, appears on TV as a guest expert, and was honored with a Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Residency.
