David Solomon is co-head of the Investment Banking Division at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Prior to assuming this role in 2006, he was the global head of the Financing Group, which includes all capital markets and derivative products for the firm's corporate clients. Solomon is a member of Goldman Sachs' Management Committee and co-chairs the Investment Banking Division Executive Committee. He joined Goldman Sachs as a partner in 1999. Prior to joining the firm, Solomon worked in various capacities at Irving Trust Co., Drexel Burnham and Bear Stearns. He serves on the board of the Robin Hood Foundation and is a trustee of Hamilton College, where he earned a B.A. in political science.
