Gillian Sandler is managing partner at Galapont Capital. She invests in companies driving transformation in healthcare and life sciences, with a primary therapeutic focus on autoimmune and neurodegenerative disorders. She has 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, CEO, board member, investor, JPMorgan equity & credit analyst, corporate strategist, and philanthropist. In the autoimmune and neuro space, she currently serves on the Boards of Mymee, Inc, and AZTherapies, as a Board Trustee of Columbia’s Zuckerman Brain Institute and was a lead investor and Board Member of Invicro, a leading imaging contract research company that transformed the field of preclinical and clinical drug research for Alzheimer’s [acquired by Konica Minolta 2017]. She is also on the Advisory Board of McKinley Capital, having served as a co-architect and investment strategist behind the launch of their global healthcare transformation public market investment portfolio. Her commitment to consumer health in underserved populations dates to her angel investment in Todobebe, Inc in 2000 [acquired by Entravision 2012]: In her later role as the CEO, she received the first Prevention Pioneer Award for Changing Health Disparity from former Surgeon General Richard Carmona.
