Peter Spiegel is US managing editor of the Financial Times, overseeing the media group's editorial operations in the US and the Americas from its regional headquarters in New York. Peter assumed the position in April 2019 after spending three years as news editor in London, where he oversaw the FT’s daily news operation both in print and online. During his tenure as news editor, the FT won 13 British Press Awards, the UK's highest journalism prize, including news website of the year in 2017 and newspaper of the year in 2018 – only the second time the FT has secured British journalism's highest honor in its 130-year history.
