Susann Keohane is the Head of Emerging AI Health Solutions, Ecosystem, and Innovation for IBM Watson Health. Susann is an IBM Master Inventor with over 200 patents issued globally. She is featured in Time Magazine, BBC, and numerous worldwide media outlets, a keynote speaker, and author of technical publications. As an experienced health innovator with 15+ years leading cross-functional teams, Susann is a valued executive and top contributor to IBM’s 25+ years of patent leadership. In her technical career path, Susann has performed as a software engineer, consultant, architect, researcher, and executive. She was the IBM Global Technical Lead for accessibility enablement, responsible for the enterprise-wide strategy and implementation mechanism for accessibility tooling, education, consulting, and compliance to emerging accessibility standards. She transitioned into the role of the IBM Global Leader in Healthy Aging. Susann led worldwide research teams, built strong partnerships with anchor clients, and established the IBM UCSD Center for Healthy Aging. As an experienced pioneer of innovation with an aptitude for product development, growth strategies, and spearheading first-of-a-kind initiatives, Susann is leveraging her Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Internet of Things technical knowledge and experience in health research into a go-to-market strategy for IBM Watson Health.
