Allyson Tucker

Allyson Tucker is Chief Executive Officer of the Washington State Investment Board, one of the United States’ leading institutional investors. The WSIB manages more than $180 billion of state retirement plans, insurance funds, and other public trust assets. The WSIB is a global institutional investor and a leader in private asset investing, with private equity, real estate, and tangible assets comprising approximately 48 percent of its retirement portfolio. Allyson joined the WSIB in 2009 and has more than 20 years of investment management experience. Before her appointment as CEO in January 2022, she served as Chief Investment Officer and previously as Senior Investment Officer heading the organization’s Risk Management and Asset Allocation team. Prior to working at the WSIB, she worked as an Investment Specialist for BMGI, the investment manager for the William H. Gates III Family Office, and for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Trust. She also worked as a research analyst for a full-service Pacific Northwest brokerage firm. A native of Olympia, Washington, she graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Washington with a BA in Accounting. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and is a member of the Seattle Society of Chartered Financial Analysts and the CAIA Seattle chapter. Allyson serves on the Board and Investment Committee for the Seattle Foundation and serves on the Board of Pacific Pension & Investment Institute (PPI).
