Amy Thompson is Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer of Mattel. Amy is responsible for partnering with the leadership team to champion Mattel’s mission and values and to ensure optimal collaboration across the global organization operating in 35 countries. As Chief People Officer, Amy oversees all global human resources functions including compensation and benefits, diversity, equity and inclusion, culture and engagement, leadership development, organizational design and development, and talent management. Amy is a purpose-driven leader with a proven track record of building high-performing business teams and influencing positive cultural change. Previously, Amy held global HR leadership roles at TOMS Shoes, Starbucks Coffee Company, Ticketmaster Corporation, and Citysearch.com. Amy received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Chaminade University and holds a master’s degree in Organizational Development from Azusa Pacific University. Passionate about helping women and children excel in professional and academic settings, Amy serves on the Board of Directors for Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment, and The Mattel Children’s Foundation.
