Angela Woods

Senior Director, Corporate Citizenship, ESPN

Angela began her career with ESPN in 2013 and was promoted to Senior Director, Corporate Citizenship in August 2017. In her expanded role, Angela leads the development and implementation of the company's corporate social responsibility agenda by informing the goals, policies and initiatives established to demonstrate business value, deliver social impact and support communities where ESPN and its fans live, work and play. Angela's responsibilities encompass devising strategic citizenship programs, overseeing league relationships, fostering the integration of CSR priorities across the business and cultivating a culture of service, which includes employee engagement. Angela has successfully led the citizenship team in the planning and execution of its day-to-day efforts, including developing a strategic plan, establishing focus areas of giving for ESPN CSR efforts, formalizing its charitable grants program, scaling employee engagement internationally and developing data metrics and impact measurement evaluation tools for nonprofit grantees. Angela has worked in corporate philanthropy for more than two decades including her tenure with American Express and Nike. Angela has also spent several years working in the nonprofit sector and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Howard University in Washington, D.C
