Blake Pickens is an Emmy-winning Chickasaw comedian and filmmaker. Blake began his career writing satire for The National Lampoon. He co-created A Tribe Called Sketch, the first all Native American sketch show on a US Second City Stage. He can be seen performing stand-up all over LA. Blake has created content with a focus on diversity and inclusion ranging from commercials to music videos. He is currently writing on Spirit Rangers for Netflix. He wrote on the Rugrats reboot for Nickelodeon. His pilot, THE WILDEST WEST, was selected for the inaugural Sundance Indigenous Intensive and the Black List’s Indigenous List. In 2021, he produced the film WILD INDIAN, which premiered at Sundance 2021. He won Grand Prixs at Cannes Lions (2017, 2018), and won a 2018 Emmy for his P&G commercial, THE TALK. He won a 2017 MTV VMA for producing John Legend’s music video, SUREFIRE. He was selected for the Sundance Native Producing Lab and the Sundance Producing Fellowship for his film, THE LAND. The film premiered at Sundance 2016. Blake is a graduate of the Peter Stark Producing Program at USC, has an MBA from LMU, and is also a graduate of the University of Oklahoma.
