Howard Boville is Head of IBM Cloud Platform where he is responsible for the design, build, and operation of the firm’s secure cloud services and collaboration platforms. He has almost 30 years of experience working as a business technologist across sales, marketing, product development, engineering, operations, and contracts. Howard’s team is responsible for architecting and engineering IBM Cloud for Financial Services, a first-of-its-kind cloud designed for the industry to help clients modernize faster by de-risking and accelerating cloud adoption. Prior to joining IBM Howard was Chief Technology Officer for Bank of America, responsible for the company’s infrastructure strategy across its eight lines of business. During his eight years at the bank, he led the transformation of its infrastructure, delivering one of the largest internal private clouds, which underpinned Bank of America's digital transformation and growth strategy. Howard joined Bank of America in August 2012 from British Telecom, where he served in its Global Services Division. During his time there he led global sales, marketing, and product development teams across multiple market verticals. Howard earned a Bachelor of Arts in business from Teesside University in Middlesbrough, U.K., and a Diploma of Business Studies from Leeds University, Leeds, U.K.
