Jonathan M. Pertchik is Chief Executive Officer TravelCenters of America (TA on NASDAQ). A seasoned turnaround executive, Pertchik is two years into a company-wide transformation, having already achieved record EBITDA levels, a highly liquid "fortress" balance sheet, and initiating a new growth engine. Pertchik created and launched new business unit eTA, focused on providing sustainable fueling options for commercial duty trucks and light duty automobiles, while leveraging alternative energy to support TA’s own operations. Before joining TA, Pertchik has served as Chief Executive Officer for several companies in multiple industries including hospitality, real estate and finance; and Jon has served in c-level roles for companies owned or controlled by private equity groups, including Starwood Capital Group, TPG, Carl Icahn, Richard LeFrak and Perry Capital. He holds a B.A. from Rutgers University, a J.D. from the District of Columbia School of Law, and an L.L.M. in International Finance Law from the Georgetown University Law Center.
