XR Immersive Strategist and Tech Humanist, The Collaboratorium

Kathleen Cohen is an XR (extended reality) Immersive Strategist and Tech Humanist, with over 25 years building both user and guest experiences. Kathleen’s background includes working as an artist and Creative Producer for DreamWorks Interactive, IBM Centers for Innovation, and Walt Disney Parks & Resorts. Kathleen was the former Vice President of Digital Innovation & Integration for the National Constitution Center helping to tell a contemporary story of the U.S. Constitution. Kathleen sits on the Advisory Board of holoride (Munich), a spinout of Audi innovation that combines real-time, map, car, and motion data with XR passenger experiences. Kathleen is the annual Jury Chair and Keynote Speaker for the AUREA Award, an immersive conference and awards show, hosted by Europa-Park located in southern Germany. Kathleen’s consultancy, The Collaboratorium, focuses on XR research, XR client projects, and public engagement. Her latest public talks are: Being Human, Becoming Human and Beyond Human, IRL vs. XR, The Future and Present Converge, and Meet Your Digital Twin. Kathleen just completed a National Endowment For The Arts, NEA-funded, immersive artist-in-residency in the state of Idaho, focusing on Indigenous Peoples and Neurodivergent Principles, identifying both communities as leaders of our humanity inside virtual worlds.
