Matthias Kristol is the Managing Director and Global Head of Wealth & Asset Management of the Financial Institutions Group at Jefferies based in New York City. He leads the investment banking advisory sector effort across traditional and alternative asset management, wealth management, and wealth technology. Matthias brings a global perspective having provided strategic advice on Mergers, Acquisitions, Initial Public Offerings, and Financings in a lead capacity for over twenty years and in more than 20 countries. Prior to joining Jefferies in 2021, Matthias spent over 14 years in investment banking at J.P. Morgan most recently as Co-Head of FinTech, Wealth & Asset Management. Before joining J.P. Morgan in 2007 in the London office, Matthias worked in the Financial Institution Investment Banking Groups at HSBC Bank and Putnam Lovell. Matthias grew up in Switzerland and holds an undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Insurance, and Risk Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
