Roy Bahat is the head of Bloomberg Beta, the early-stage venture firm backed by Bloomberg L.P. that was the first venture capital fund to focus on the future of work, and also the first fund to focus on artificial intelligence. Bloomberg Beta was an early investor in Flexport, MasterClass, Replit, and LaunchDarkly, among others. Roy also serves on the faculty at U.C. Berkeley's Haas School of Business. Roy leads the Aspen Business Roundtable on Organized Labor, following serving on the California Governor's Future of Work Commission. He was named one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business and has served as a corporate executive, and in government, in addition to his work creating and backing startups. He serves on the board or as an advisor to several non-profits including Stanford's Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society, the Council on Technology & Society, and the Economic Security Project.
