Chief Strategy and Growth Officer, Jobs For the Future

Rusty Greiff is JFF’s chief strategy and growth officer. As a member of the executive office and the executive team, he helps devise and lead organizational strategies and growth initiatives, including new products, lines of business, and innovation platforms focused on the workforce, education, tech, and corporate sectors. A veteran education technology entrepreneur, innovation and growth executive, and social impact investor, Rusty has more than 25 years of experience leading and scaling higher education and public, private, startup, impact fund, and nonprofit initiatives focused on the future of work and learning innovation. He is the founder and principal of the eQ Group, an advisory firm that works with leaders of educational institutions and CEOs and boards of education technology and workforce innovation companies, venture and private equity funds, foundations, and nonprofit organizations, including JFF. Previously, he was a senior vice president at 2U Inc., where he oversaw the launch of online degree, credential, and certificate programs at more than 40 universities, including Harvard, MIT, Oxford, Yale, and Vanderbilt. Rusty was a founding team member of pioneering edtech companies Grockit and Learnist, and he has held general manager and president roles in education companies in the Sterling Partners portfolio, including Sylvan Learning. Early in his career, Rusty helped launch the AmeriCorps program while working at the Corporation for National and Community Service. More recently, he served as managing director and general partner at 1776, an impact investment fund and tech incubator.
