Stephanie Kauffman

President and Chief Operating Officer, Melanoma Research Alliance

Stephanie Kauffman is the president and chief operating officer for the Melanoma Research Alliance, where she is responsible for the day-to-day operations, communications, development, and engagement for the largest private non-profit funder of melanoma research, which has made over $130 million scientific research investments in the areas of melanoma prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. Prior to joining the Melanoma Research Alliance, Stephanie held senior leadership positions at global health and medical research organizations including the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Americares. Before she pivoted into the global health and cancer research space, Stephanie was an executive leader at Universal Studios, a division of NBCUniversal. Stephanie held the role of senior vice president, global alliances for Universal’s worldwide film, home entertainment, staged productions, consumer products, and theme parks business units. Stephanie is a recognized leader, speaker, and moderator on female leadership and elevating women’s voices in the workforce. She co-chairs the board of directors for the International Women’s Media Foundation, an organization that supports and protects women journalists and their role in the global newsroom. She also serves as a mentor for the 92Y Women in Power Class of 2022 Fellows. She holds a B.S. in Marketing Management from Florida Southern College and is based in New York City.
