Brian Carandang is an Associate Director, Center Advancement, Business and Program Development at the Milken Institute. He oversees partnerships and engagement across the Milken Institute Health’s portfolio, which includes the programmatic work of FasterCures, the Center for Public Health, Feeding Change, and the Center for the Future of Aging. Additionally, he leads the Institute’s fundraising strategy for the annual Future of Health Summit and health-related convenings. Carandang also Co-Chaired the Institute’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, where he worked across departments and working groups to help inform the organization’s inclusion strategies. He began his career at Direct Relief where he was responsible for amplifying the community impact of the work across socials and operationalizing the pharmaceuticals donations for outbound shipment to communities that lack reliable health infrastructures. Carandang has a dual master's degree as part of the Erasmus Mundus Global Studies Consortium, where he studied Global Studies at the University of Vienna in Austria and Roskilde University in Denmark. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
