Cheryl Mills is founder and Chief Executive Officer of the BlackIvy Group. Anchored in Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania, BlackIvy is a values-driven company that builds and grows commercial enterprises in Sub-Saharan Africa. The company develops businesses in essential sectors to meet the needs of an expanding consumer population – seeking well-built homes, quality healthcare and safe and nutritious food products – and a growing business sector seeking industrial infrastructure, efficient logistics and reliable services. Ms. Mills oversees the company’s strategy, capital-raising, partnerships and market and sector selection. Previously, Ms. Mills served as Chief of Staff to Secretary Hillary Clinton and Counselor to the U.S. Department of State, where she managed foreign policy and operational priorities of the $55 billion agency that employs more than 20,000 officials across 180 countries. Ms. Mills previously served as Senior Vice President for Administration and Operations and General Counsel at New York University; Senior Vice President of Oxygen Media; Deputy Counsel and Associate Counsel to the President Clinton at the White House; and, as an associate at the law firm of Hogan and Hartson. Ms. Mills currently serves on the board of BlackRock, iHeart Media, the Clinton Foundation and Maya Angelou Public Charter School.
