Cliff Crown FCA, Chair, Brentford FCCliff has over 35 years of experience in advising commercial owner-managed businesses. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 1981 and joined Levy Gee becoming a partner in 1985. After running Levy Gee’s Manchester office between 1993 to 1995 Cliff returned to London and started the Media Group. The firm floated on AIM in 2001 and after building up a successful practice, primarily advising owner managed businesses in the media sector, Cliff left in 2010 to join Smartodds as Chief Financial Officer. Cliff was appointed to the Brentford FC board in June 2012 and became Chair a year later. Since then, he has served on the Board of the EFL from 2016-2019, was Chair of the FA Cup Committee in 2018/19 and represented the EFL on FA Council and the Professional Game Board (PGB). Cliff also represented the FA in the 2018 World Cup. Since Brentford’s promotion, Cliff has represented the Premier League on FA Council and the PGB. He is also a member of the Premier League Committee focused on formulating a detailed response to the Fan Led Review. Since its acquisition in July 2014, Cliff has been Director of FC Midtjylland and was elected Chair of the club in January 2022.
