Marcus Capone is the co-founder and CEO of TARA Mind, a mental health company focused on psychedelic-assisted therapy with a mission to address the systemic issues of accessibility, affordability, care quality, and treatment efficacy that plague our nation’s mental healthcare system. Founded in 2022, the Public Benefit Corporation is working with early-adopter employers to add the TARA Mind network as a supplemental benefit to existing health plans, thereby removing health equity barriers while driving ROI for the employers. Mr. Capone is also Chairman and co-founder of VETS: Veterans Exploring Treatment Solutions, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides resources, research, and advocacy for U.S. Special Operations veterans seeking alternative mental health treatments. As a global leader in the field of psychedelic therapy, VETS has raised over $10MM to provide therapeutic access abroad to hundreds of veterans, while also spearheading research and policy change at the state and federal levels in the U.S. A Veteran Navy SEAL, Marcus spent 13 years on active duty, receiving numerous awards for valor throughout his 7 overseas tours at SEAL Team 10 and SEAL Team 6.
