Burns was named President in 2007, CEO from 2009 to 2016 and Chairman of the Board from 2010 to 2017. President Barack Obama appointed Burns to lead the White House national program on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) from 2009-2016.Burns served as Chair of the President’s Export Council from 2015-2016, after serving as Vice Chair from 2010-2015. Burns also provides leadership counsel to several other community, educational and non-profit organizations. Burns, who regularly appears on Fortune’s and Forbes’ list of the world’s most powerful women, is a board Director of Exxon Mobil and Uber. Burns is the Executive Chairman of PLUM Acquisition Corp I /Special Purpose Acquisition Company and a founding partner of Integrum Holdings, a private-equity firm.
