Andrew Fish

President and CEO, Medical Device Innovation Consortium

Andrew Fish is the President & CEO of the Medical Device Innovation Consortium (MDIC). As a unique public-private partnership, MDIC’s members include medical technology manufacturers, key government agencies, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and non-profit stakeholders, including patient advocacy organizations, researchers, and clinicians. MDIC addresses complex challenges in medical technology regulatory science – the scientific and technical disciplines that drive medical technology research, development, and manufacturing and inform decision-making for regulators, payers, health care providers, and patients. Mr. Fish has an extensive record of solving high-stakes challenges at the complex intersections of regulated business, health care, science, technology, law, media, and politics. Prior to joining MDIC in 2022, Mr. Fish held various leadership roles at AdvaMed, the Advanced Medical Technology Association. Mr. Fish previously served as Senior Vice President of Legal and Government Affairs and General Counsel for the Consumer Healthcare Products Association, and before that position led federal lobbying for the American Cancer Society as the Senior Director of Federal Government Relations. Earlier in Mr. Fish’s career, he served in the Senate-confirmed post of Assistant Secretary of Agriculture for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs after working as deputy chief counsel for the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee. Mr. Fish holds a BA from Yale University and a JD from Stanford Law School.
