Courtney McCrea is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Recast Capital, a platform supporting and investing in emerging managers in venture. The Recast team believes that emerging managers, particularly those with diverse partnerships, represent both an underserved market and overlooked business opportunity, and is taking a new approach to meeting the need. Previously, Courtney spent 10 years as a Managing Director of Weathergage Capital, a boutique venture fund of funds, where she invested in both emerging and established venture capital funds. Prior to Weathergage, Courtney was a General Partner with Weston Presidio, a leading diversified private equity firm based in San Francisco. Courtney has an M.B.A., with honors, from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. Courtney is a member of the NVCA Forward Board of Directors, Alzheimer’s Association Northern California and Nevada Board of Directors. She is also a member of Kauffman Fellows Class 3.
