Dawn Ostroff

Dawn Ostroff has a proven track record of growing and transforming companies to meet the needs of changing consumer behavior. Ostroff was most recently the chief content & advertising business officer at Spotify, where she oversaw all global content, content operations and advertising revenue for the company. In her commercial role, Ostroff drove company revenue and also oversaw the technology teams working in these areas. Prior to her role at Spotify, Ostroff served as president of Condé Nast Entertainment, which produced and distributed award winning content across film, television, premium digital video, social, and virtual reality, based on IP from their iconic media brands. The division produced six feature films and seven television series during her tenure. Ostroff also was responsible for building the digital video technology and the digital advertising teams for the company. Previously, Ostroff helped launch The CW broadcast network as president of entertainment, where she programmed several groundbreaking hit series, including “Gossip Girl” and “The Vampire Diaries,” and oversaw shows such as“Smallville” and “Supernatural”. Ostroff also has extensive board experience across several industry sectors and currently serves as an independent director on the board of Paramount Global, and on the Mattel board. Previously, she served on the board of Activision Blizzard, and advised through the acquisition of the company by Microsoft. Ostroff also served on the boards of the Westfield Corporation and Anonymous Content. Currently, Ostroff serves on the New York University Faculty of Arts and Science Board of Overseers.
