Gina Carithers

President, Prostate Cancer Foundation

Gina B. Carithers is the President of the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF). She leverages her decades of innovation in the genitourinary disease community to expand PCF's reach to all corners of the prostate cancer community: research, education, communication and patient support. Carithers has more than forty years of experience bringing together scientists, business leaders and sources of funding to solve challenging health issues. In 2003 she founded UroToday, with a mission to drive progress in the dynamic field of genitourinary diseases and treatments (GU oncology, GU radiation oncology, and urology). Under Carither’s leadership as the founder and CEO, UroToday’s online community has grown to serve 86,000 urologists, GU oncologists, healthcare providers, and patients from 206 counties around the globe. UroToday offers content from conferences, publications, state of the art peer-to-peer lectures and conversations, and a listing of GU Oncology actively recruiting clinical trials. Carithers has also served as an industry consultant shaping medical education programs for companies such as Indevus (now Endo) and Novartis. Before founding UroToday, Carithers spent over 20 years as a senior leader at DuPont Pharmaceuticals, focused on commercialization strategies for pharmaceutical products, including serving as the executive vice president of the global virology franchise, building the sales team and marketing team of SUSTIVA. She holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
