Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah is an active humanitarian committed to championing tolerance, compassion, and empathy between people of all backgrounds. Her work focuses on promoting cross-cultural dialogue, advocating for refugee rights, and finding comprehensive solutions to the world’s greatest challenges. Alongside her efforts in Jordan to empower local communities and drive innovation and entrepreneurship, Queen Rania serves as an influential global voice in challenging stereotypes of Arabs and Muslims, and fostering greater understanding between people of all faiths and cultures. She is also recognized for her efforts to garner global support for the plight of refugees and the world’s most vulnerable populations, taking part in numerous global events in support of refugees and visiting refugee camps in Jordan, Greece, and Bangladesh. Through her position on their boards, Her Majesty contributes to the work of the United Nations Foundation and the World Economic Forum. She is also UNICEF’s first Eminent Advocate for Children, a member of the International Rescue Committee’s Board of Advisors, a member of the Earthshot Prize Council, and was recently named the Global Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum’s GAEA initiative. In recognition of her work, Queen Rania has received a number of prestigious local, regional, and international awards. These include the Foreign Press Association’s Humanitarian Award; the World Childhood Award; the Atlantic Council Global Citizen Award; and the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity as well as the Path to Peace Award, both of which Her Majesty received jointly with His Majesty King Abdullah II.
