Hilton has led the Twinning Project since its inception. Launching and setting up the Charitable Foundation in 2018. In 5 years, Hilton has facilitated and cemented the rapid growth of Football’s position as a powerful agent for change in the criminal justice sector. Since the launch of the Twinning Project, Hilton has encouraged 73 of the UK’s 92 professional clubs to align and commit to engage with their local prison, ensuring that over half of all prisons in the UK have benefitted from Twinning Project delivery. Hilton ensures a sustainable dialogue and relationship is created between the prisons and local football clubs. He also serves on the Funding Committee of the Charitable Foundation overseeing grant applications and educational benchmarking. Hilton leads not only on a local level ensuring rich relationships exist between local prisons and clubs but represents the project with HMPPs and the government ensuring that national criminal justice strategic objectives are part of the Twinning Project narrative. Hilton has been fundamental to the Global growth of the Twinning Project, working closely with FIFA, and the International Corrections and Prisons Association to expand the success of the project to other FIFA territories. The Charity now delivers programs in the USA, Australia, Italy and South Africa. In his 25 year career prior to the Twinning Project, Hilton served in senior marketing and marketing communications roles across multiple sectors.
